Palo Alto County Health System (PACHS) is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Family Practice Physician with Obstetrics to join our growing primary care team. Position Overview

This full-scope family medicine role provides a balanced mix of outpatient care, inpatient management, obstetrics, and procedural opportunities. Physicians enjoy autonomy, strong peer support, and a highly functional care team that values communication, respect, and commitment to patient-centered service.

What You’ll Do

• Provide full-spectrum family medicine care, including obstetrics and C-section delivery
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Admit patients to PACHS’s 25-bed critical access hospital as needed
• Participate in a 1:6 weekday call rotation, with weekends supported by contracted services
• Collaborate closely with visiting specialty clinics, including ENT, Cardiology, Gynecology, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Surgery, and Urology
• Utilize extensive diagnostic capabilities—CT, MRI, mammography, ultrasound, mobile nuclear medicine, vascular studies, and bone densitometry
• Document care in a fully integrated electronic medical record with telemedicine and teleradiology capabilities
• Engage in continuous quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and compliance standards
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, providers, and staff

What You’ll Bring

• MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
• Training and competence in obstetrics, including C-section delivery
• Eligibility for an Iowa medical license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and DEA
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and dedication to teamwork
