Palmyra Elementary School is seeking a paraprofessional. Applicants must possess a strong understanding of the instructional needs of students and must work closely with other staff.

- Assist students with health and physical care as needed including but not limited to feeding, bathroom needs, supporting transportation needs, and personal hygiene.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and kneeling. If training is completed, the use of therapeutic restraint may be required.
- Assist in activities assigned by and under the direction of the teacher.
- Prepare and collect materials needed by the teacher in presenting a unit of work.
- Work with individual students or small groups on activities that have been assigned by the teacher.
- Assist students according to their individualized needs as directed by the teacher.
- Assist in managing the behavior of students.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times in the day, such as during lunch, arrival and departure times, and on the playground as assigned.
- Complete recordkeeping tasks as assigned by the teacher.
- Strongly consider candidates with at least 60 hours of undergraduate college hours.
