What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Coordinator position at PALMS MEDICAL GROUP?
The Communications Coordinator will oversee the creation of a variety of content that raises awareness of Palms’ mission through engaging internal and external communication. They will identify new and innovative ways to enhance and expand Palms’ communication platforms to engage stakeholders and provide critical updates to staff, leadership, and patients.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
1) Create and implement a variety of communication materials. This can include internal newsletters, announcements, information pertaining to protocol and policy updates, website support, intranet design, and other online engagement materials.
2) Act as a liaison between human resources, marketing, and C-Suite departments to foster collaboration centered on innovating Palms’ internal communication ecosystem.
3) Research and implement internal and external communications platforms, channels, guidelines, and practices, communicating such information across departments.
4) Communicate effectively to employees regarding all events, rollouts, campaigns, etc… which affect the different departments and offices within the organization, utilizing Paylocity, email, and text message communication tools to disseminate such information.
5) Serve as a representative of Palms with community partners and company events.
6) Monitor and drive Paylocity employee recognition channels on Community and Impressions pages to increase awareness and to support employee milestones and individual achievements.
7) Design, publish, and distribute the annual Palms yearbook of employee photos, events and accomplishments at fiscal year-end.
8) Assist and support the bi-annual employee survey process.
9) Research and develop internal stories, newsletters and meeting presentations to promote Palms services, projects and accomplishments; review and share messages and presentations.
10) Communicate the Palms story passionately to build strong internal alignment and meaningful community support.
11) Lead and participate in various internal teams to collaborate on internal campaigns and employee engagement opportunities.
12) Shall perform all other duties as requested by the Marketing Director, CAO, or CEO.

2) Familiarity with internal communication platforms (e.g., Paylocity, intranet)
3) Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva)
4) Survey tools (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Office Forms)
Licenses & Certifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business administration, communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
2) 2 years of experience in internal communications, public relations, or a similar role.
