Position Overview

The Fabrication Technician will work in our fabrication shop preparing, assembling, and finishing glass and aluminum components for installation in commercial projects. This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and essential to keeping projects on schedule and built to spec.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble aluminum frames, storefront systems, and glass components
• Read and interpret shop drawings, cut sheets, and fabrication instructions
• Measure, cut, drill, and prepare materials with accuracy
• Assist with glass handling, packing, and staging for field installation
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe shop environment
• Follow all safety procedures and quality control standards
• Work closely with project managers and installers to meet production deadlines
  
  

Requirements

• Prior experience in fabrication, construction, glazing, or manufacturing preferred
• Ability to read tape measures and basic shop drawings accurately
• Comfortable working with hand tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely
