What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Estimator position at Palmetto Sitework Services?
Palmetto Sitework Services is growing and seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead pricing for public sector work (SCDOT, municipal, schools) and support select private/commercial sitework projects. This role backfills a long-tenured estimator and plays a key part in Palmetto’s expansion—especially in wet utilities.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead estimating for public infrastructure projects
• Perform takeoffs, site visits, and detailed B2W-based estimates
• Manage subcontractor/vendor pricing and relationships
• Prepare competitive, accurate bid proposals
• Partner closely with operations for smooth project handoff
What We’re Looking For:
• 5–10 years estimating heavy civil/sitework
• Experience with public works strong wet utilities background preferred
• Proficiency in B2W/HeavyBid and digital takeoff tools
• Organized, proactive, and aligned with Palmetto’s ACDC values
