Duties
- Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course turf through mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing.
- Operate power tools such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with irrigation system setup, repairs, and adjustments to ensure optimal watering schedules.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning trees and shrubs, and weed control to enhance course aesthetics.
- Conduct regular inspections of the course for hazards or damage and perform necessary repairs or report issues promptly.
- Support general gardening efforts by watering plants, applying mulch, and maintaining flower beds.
- Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, and pruners for detailed landscaping work and course improvements.
Skills
- Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control.
- Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles related to gardening and landscaping.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and land management tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail for inspecting course conditions and performing precise maintenance work.
- Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk extensively.
