What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garage Door Technician position at Palmetto Overhead Door?
Palmetto Overhead Door has provided installation and service of Commercial/Industrial Overhead Doors and Loading Dock Equipment for customers in the CSRA region of SC/GA since 1983. Our scope of work includes sectional steel doors, rolling steel doors, coiling doors, and high-speed doors, as well as dock levelers, edge-of-dock boards, dock seals, and dock shelters. We are currently seeking to add a full-time Service Technician to our work force. Must own and be proficient with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, sockets, and wrenches. Overhead Door experience preferred, but not required, we will train. Mechanical ability a must-have. A clean MVR (Minimum 5 years) from the DMV is a must-have. Welding skills a PLUS! OSHA10 certification a PLUS! Potential employees will be required to complete an application in person; applications accepted Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 3:00 pm. We offer competitive starting pay. Employees are eligible for one week of annual paid vacation after six months continuous employment. There is a matching retirement plan option after thirty days of continuous employment.
