We are looking for a Seasonal Corporate Customer Service Representative to answer calls and problem solve customer inquiries with the southern hospitality that Palmetto Moon is known for. Position Summary
The Seasonal Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers with their online orders, product questions, and general inquiries through phone and email with the southern hospitality for which Palmetto moon is known. This position plays a key part in delivering a positive shopping experience and ensuring customer satisfaction during our peak season.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Assist with order placement, tracking, returns, exchanges, and product information.
- Use internal systems (e.g., order management, CRM tools) to document and manage customer interactions.
- Refer advanced cases to management for resolution, providing background information as necessary.
- Support the E-commerce (fulfillment) Team during peak business periods with picking ordered goods, order staging, and shipping/packaging.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
Customer Service
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist customer with product replacement due to defective item, delivery error or packaging deficiency, wrong item received, etc.
- Meet daily and weekly performance metrics for response time, resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback on recurring issues and trends to improve the customer experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to multi-task and manage immediate, short term and long-term projects.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with online retail platforms.
Work Environment
- Standard business hours with occasional need for flexibility during peak times.
- Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment (keyboard, mouse, headset, etc.).
- Ability to view computer screens for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders.
- Lifting may occasionally be required up to 25 lbs.
