- Picks and Packs Orders, ensuring all orders have been pulled and labeled correctly and are ready for distribution to other associates for jobs.
- Properly organizes and categorizes warehouse as well as upkeeps warehouse maintenance including, but not limited to, sweeping and cleaning warehouse area.
- Stocks and maintains inventory of parts, materials and supplies and communicates with management about low or out of stock material in a timely and efficient manner.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting various physical counts regularly.
- Procures and receives material in an organized manner from vendors and inter-company transfers.
- Keeps detailed records of material paperwork, including physical paperwork as well as electronic through data entry.
- Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities; assigns warehouse associates with daily tasks and maintains a cohesive team.
- Upholds Company and warehouse processes and procedures and communicates same to Warehouse Associates.
- Upholds Safety policies and procedures and communicates same to Warehouse Associates.
- Communicates with vendors about material, requests quotes, and purchases material needed to complete jobs; sends/ships unused/incorrect materials back to vendors.
- Oversees the process of deliveries and receiving.
- Unloads and Loads Trucks/Work Trucks and Vans when needed and ensures all materials are put away in proper location in a neat and orderly manner.
- Operates material and handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks
- Other work-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the above-listed duties, tasks, and functions.
- Proficient with computer software and applications, including Microsoft software.
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write in English proficiently, including interpreting documents, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, invoices, shipping/packing lists, and materials lists.
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts.
- Ability to formulate various reports relating to inventory and other warehouse functions.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several tangible variables.
