- Monitoring activities on all company sites to identify potential criminal activity.
- Inform appropriate managers and proper authorities of any suspicious/criminal activity occurring at company sites.
- Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions, unlawful activities, or potential property damage. Bookmark and save videos.
- Respond to security and fire alarm calls received from alarm monitoring companies and make decisions on whether to dispatch local authorities.
- Enter all incidents observed or reported into the company reporting system “Vector”.
- Providing summary reports on nightly activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management.
- Operating security systems and, if needed, entering help desk tickets with the camera/alarm companies.
- Using provided communication devices such as cell phones in a clear and concise manner.
- Follow up post-incident with the Loss Prevention Team to ensure proper corrective measures are implemented.
- Provide friendly and informative answers to Team Members concerning security problems and procedures.
- Serve as back-up for opposite shift Security.
- Explore new ways of improving workflow and efficiency of job.
- Monitor Help Desk for Security concerns.
- Maintain an organized, neat workspace, while upholding agency security procedures for confidential information.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Respond effectively and efficiently to alarm condition.
- Work effectively in a team-based environment; interact professionally with a highly diverse employee base on a regular and routine basis.
- Proficiency in office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficient in analysis and deductive reasoning to assess potential theft situations and take appropriate actions
