POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintains imaging records. Processes all imaging examinations for correct activity and research's patient history in HBO when applicable. Makes previous / current exams available to Radiologists and referring physicians. Signs out records per policy. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Requires light-medium lifting. Must understand numeric filing system and demonstrate reasoning for file search. Must be able to interact with patients, physicians and other departments in a professional manner.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the medical field preferred.
- Must be accurate with names and numbers
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be self-motivated once job duties are learned and is able to work with minimal supervision.
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.
- Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment.
- Ensure that all contact with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.
- Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner.
