We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team on-site at our Boiling Springs, SC location. The Ophthalmic Assistant will support daily clinic operations by performing preliminary patient exams, administering diagnostic tests like fundus photography, assisting physicians by scribing during exams, and maintaining detailed medical records. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the use of proper medical terminology, assisting with equipment management, and providing excellent patient care.
- Background in Optometry and knowledge of ophthalmology best practices
- Proficiency in performing diagnostic tests such as Fundus Photography
- Experience as a Scribe and familiarity with recording detailed medical information
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and basic principles of Medicine
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in an ophthalmology or optometry clinic is a plus
