Palmetto Elementary School Instructional Assistant Principal
Qualifications:
- Must submit a valid South Carolina Elementary Principal certification
- Assistant Principal experience preferred
- Must have three to five years teaching experience
- Must have a strong knowledge of early childhood and elementary curriculum and working knowledge of Title I programming
- Must have a strong knowledge of special education and IEP process
- Must have a strong knowledge of early childhood and elementary curriculum
- Must have a strong knowledge of professional learning communities and ability to support collaborative teams in order to improve professional practice and student learning outcomes
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to lead and support professional learning teams
- Must exhibit a high degree of problem analysis skills and must have the ability to use sound judgement to resolve issues especially in dealing with students, parents and staff
- Must have the ability to articulate high performance expectations to others and the ability to utilize assessment data for school change and improvement
- Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of educational and cultural backgrounds and to create and sustain a school culture that promotes student growth and achievement while promoting and sustaining a healthy and positive morale among educational professionals
- Must be proficient in utilizing instructional technology
- Must be able to build rapport with staff, parents and students to create a positive and collaborative school climate
