We are looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team at Alexander's Restaurant and Wine Bar. This is a dinner only restaurant.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall guest experience as it relates to time spent greeting guests to the restaurant in a pleasant and efficient manner. By supporting our company's Noble Purpose, your top priority will be to care about our guests, and the impact we make on their lives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests.
- Treat all guests in a manner that ensures their complete satisfaction.
- Always strive to exceed our guest's expectations.
- Manage Open Table.
- Run the floor plan board.
- Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
- Deliver water and bread and butter to tables upon seating
- Clean, organize and stock menus at host area.
- Answer phone and answer questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
- Interact with guests in the restaurant and as they leave to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Fill to go orders, if applicable.
- Maintain restrooms throughout shift.
- Sweep front entrance area frequently.
- Other duties as directed.
Requirements
- General knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Previous experience preferred
