- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Manage restaurant reservation systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS, to coordinate bookings efficiently
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times and reservation availability
- Maintain accurate restaurant table management systems to track seating and waitlists effectively
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, and ensuring a positive first impression
- Assist with food safety protocols by communicating guest needs clearly to the service team
- Collaborate with team members to uphold hospitality standards and ensure smooth restaurant operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Effective communication skills, including phone communication and proper phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and guest billing support when needed
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to remain energetic, friendly, and professional in a fast-paced environment
