What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheet Metal Installer position at Palmer & Sicard?
What You’ll Do
- Install, assemble, fabricate, and repair sheet metal products and HVAC equipment in commercial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Generate fabrication and material lists as required.
- Assemble and install ductwork and sheet metal components.
- Fasten seams and joints using bolts, rivets, drive clips, screws, and other appropriate methods.
- Work closely with foremen, project teams, and other trades to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Travel to various project locations as required.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of commercial sheet metal installation experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with commercial HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- NH Gas License
- Massachusetts Sheet Metal License is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
