Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety standards, and client specifications. Duties

• Provide leadership as well as establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with all involved with the project, including co-workers, General Contractor and Subcontractors.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Provide low and line voltage installations for scope and Owner Direct projects.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with OSHA and the NEC.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements.
• Assisting with customers’ queries.
• Ordering materials and providing direction to apprentices.
• Use fall protection and other required PPE for elevated or hazardous job sites
• Complete & submit weekly timecard efficiently.
• Communicate with supervisor on completion of scheduled calls.
• Complete essential paperwork for customer review and office review.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components.
• Size breakers, disconnects, fuses, boxes and wire gauges per code for new HVAC equipment being installed.
• Installing and bending conduit.
• Install low voltage wiring for complex HVAC systems.
• Perform point to point check out of control wiring
• Develop working relationships with our existing customers to promote and provide electrical service and support.

Qualifications

• 4 year experience as an Electrician & willingness to continue education in the electrical field.
• Must hold a Journeyman Electrician License.
• Willingness to reciprocate license to surrounding states.
• A willingness to take additional coursework in HVAC diagnosis and repair.
• Work within various site schedule requirements, including early mornings, and occasional night shifts or weekends
• Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments.
• Must be willing to work outdoors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and strong conflict management skills.
• Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Electrical systems.
• Has the ability to read, interpret, utilize, and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to Electrical and some HVAC systems.
• Have a clean, neat, and professional appearance; a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in himself and in others.
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Technical aptitude with knowledge of local codes, NEC, NFPA 70 and an ability to use resources at hand to find solutions.
• Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record and background.
• Attendance is an essential function of the job.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
