Job Overview
Palmer Heavy Equipment is hiring a dependable and experienced Construction Laborer with a background in concrete, asphalt, and gravel work to support operations at our material recycling yard.
We specialize in concrete and asphalt crushing and screening, and we are specifically seeking candidates who have hands-on experience working with concrete materials and/or crushing equipment. This is not a general labor or landscaping position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete crushing and screening operations
- Sort and handle recycled concrete, asphalt, and gravel
- Clean and maintain crusher systems, screens, and filters
- Perform physical labor including shoveling, lifting, and moving concrete materials
- Support daily yard operations around heavy equipment and crushers
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures on-site
Required Experience
- Experience working with concrete, asphalt, or gravel materials
- Background in a concrete yard, demolition, roadwork, or crushing operation
- Familiarity with crushers, screening equipment, or heavy equipment environments
Applicants without relevant concrete or crushing experience will NOT be considered.
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
- Minimum height: 5'6"
- Physical ability to climb a latter
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Working cell phone
- Must pass a drug screen

Pay & Employment Type
- $16.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on relevant experience)
- 1099 Independent Contractor position
- No employee benefits or overtime pay
