What you will do:
- Collaborate with IT and business areas to ensure the derivatives system provides the required capabilities
- Define and execute the vision for system fixes and improvements
- Prioritize work for IT based on business needs and system goals
- Work with in-house technology teams using Agile methodology to deliver new or enhanced system capabilities
- Analyze and document requirements, business process flows, and data flows
- Maintain the system backlog and ensure it reflects current priorities
- Plan and prioritize system development and feature backlog with precise, detailed specifications
- Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint and release goals
- Coordinate between business and IT on system maintenance and support efforts
- Monitor system performance and operations for opportunities to improve
- Coordinate with business areas to execute system-related business processes
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor s or higher degree in finance or an IT-related field
- 4-6 years of experience in Risk, IT, Trading, Derivatives, or related area
- Strong knowledge of systems, data, and business process integrations between corporate functions in investments, risk, finance, or actuarial
- Ability to effectively manage the conflicting needs of stakeholders
- Understanding of business value related to features and functions
- In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management
- A strong candidate will be highly detail-oriented, well-organized, independent, assertive, self-motivated, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Bloomberg, Finastra, Calypso, Murex, Neoxam, Golden Source, Markit EDM, Blackrock Aladdin, ePAM, or similar systems
