Warehouse Manager

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the food bank warehouse, ensuring safe, efficient handling of donations and distributions. This role oversees inventory control, receiving and transporting food, maintaining warehouse organization, and supporting the overall mission of providing food to the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload food deliveries from vendors, donors, and partner organizations
• Pick up regular food distributions from the Food Bank of Alaska and corporate partners
• Receive, weigh, and record community food donations
• Manage inventory control, organization, and reporting to ensure accurate tracking of food supplies
• Repack food items as needed to meet distribution requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
• Janitorial tasks as needed
• Oversee basic building and grounds maintenance to ensure facilities remain in good condition
• Perform general handyman and minor repair tasks as needed
• Use general computer systems and inventory software for recordkeeping and reporting
• Follow food safety, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
• Must obtain food safety card in the first 30 days of employment
• Perform other duties assigned to support food bank operations

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic handyman and building maintenance abilities
• Comfortable using computers and inventory management software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to the mission and values of the food bank

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 60 pounds possible multiple times per day
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
