What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Assembly Technician - Mid Shift position at Palmer-Donavin?
The Manufacturing Assembly Technician supports production operations by preparing, assembling, and modifying door products to customer specifications. This position is responsible for interpreting production documents, operating fabrication tools and equipment, transporting materials throughout the facility, and performing quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards.
Shift: Sunday – Thursday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Overtime may be required based on production demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Review production orders and specifications to determine required materials and assembly processes.
- Gather, stage, and modify door slabs, components, and hardware for production.
- Operate hand and power tools, including drills, saws, routers, and nailers, to fabricate and assemble fiberglass, aluminum, and wood products.
- Transport materials and completed products between production areas safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed products for quality, accuracy, and workmanship standards.
- Assist with general housekeeping, equipment upkeep, and additional production support tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production environments preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of the shift.
- Satisfactory result on a pre-employment drug screening.
