What You'll Do
As an Activities Bus Driver, you'll safely transport students to athletic events, field trips, academic competitions, concerts, and other school-sponsored activities while providing a safe and positive experience.
Your responsibilities include:
- Safely transporting students and authorized passengers to and from school activities.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
- Enforcing safety rules and maintaining appropriate student behavior.
- Following all traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
- Reporting accidents, incidents, maintenance concerns, or safety issues.
- Keeping the bus clean and ready for the next trip.
- Attending required meetings and training sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Minnesota Class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days (paid training available).
- Commitment to safety and outstanding customer service.
- Dependable, patient, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with students, parents, coaches, and school staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Physical Requirements
This position primarily involves sitting while driving (approximately 90%), with occasional walking and standing.
