Behavior Technician / RBT® Job Description

Our mission at Palma Academy of Learning is to support our clients and their families using evidence-based, high-quality applied behavior analysis services. We are owned and operated by doctoral level behavior analysts with over 30 years of combined experienced in the field of ABA.

Job Description

• Provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in a SCHOOL setting in Pocahontas (Arkansas)
• Support each client with the understanding they are trying to communicate their wants and needs
• Teach clients ways to communicate their wants and needs so others in their environment are able to understand their individualized needs
• Support each client through the lens of teaching opportunities
• Support each client with an understanding they are an individual and their individuality is the highest priority for their care
• Assist in the facilitation of a professional work environment that is welcoming to all colleagues, clients, and families
• Implement teaching programs as outlined by the Behavior Analyst
• Advocate for appropriate training to ensure programs are being implemented with fidelity
• Collect minute-by-minute data accurately and enter into the electronic medical record system
• Attend meetings, trainings, and workshops to develop professional skills and further knowledge
• Adhere to time and attendance policies
• Adhere to company policies
• Adhere to Federal and State laws specific to healthcare and health records

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• College course work in human development and/or behavior analysis (preferred)
• Registered Behavior Technician® credential (preferred)
• Ability to pass a Level 1 FBI Background check, including finger printing
• Active Driver’s License

Job Types: Full-time (hourly); Part-time (hourly)

Pay: $14 – 20/hour
