Palm Tree Interventional Pain Management is a high volume medical practice that is in need of someone who is courteous, professional, and efficient. The new patient coordinator/surgical scheduler responsibilities include:
>1 year of medical office experience
Spanish speaker is preferred

Education / Training
Essential Functions
- new patient registration
- verify insurance
- input new patient into EMR
- schedules new patient
- communicate regularly with physicians, which may include patients, ancillary and surgical areas to involve: scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation of single/multiple tests and procedures. Scheduling coordinators must also manage schedules, assign work, track procedural progress, order equipment when needed, and complete administrative tasks like writing reports, typing, and answering phones.
>1 year of medical office experience

Education / Training
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have knowledge on medical terminology
- Medical Assistant diploma
Essential Functions
- Maintains a working knowledge of ICD-9 (ICD-10) and CPT codes, as deemed necessary.
- You must know how to use eClinicalWorks and you need strong communication skills to work with patients.
- Provide accurate information of department / procedure specific scheduling criteria to expedite patient preparation, arrival location and time.
- Knowledge of computer applications, multi-line telephone system, printers, copy fax machines, which may include required data entry.
- Maintains basic understanding of the medical needs during the screening process for scheduling an appointment.
- Consistently reviews the schedules daily and communicates all conflicts with physician and/or practice manager.
