Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital is located in Titusville, Florida minutes from Cape Canaveral. Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including, depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point behavioral health offers inpatient treatment options and serve communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30-miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40-miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. The Director of Nursing (DON) plans and monitors the delivery of quality patient care by the House Supervisors, RN's, Staff Educator/Infection Control/Employee Health Nurse and Mental Health Technicians. The Director of Nursing supervisors the administration of the work schedule and assigns workload to the staff maximizing the strengths and abilities of the staff. The Director of Nursing has overall responsibility for managing, coordinating, supervising and implementing treatment proprams and the delivery of services in an effective manner for all programs. The Director of Nursing serves on various organizational teams and/or committees and as a consultant to other departments. The Director of Nursing monitors and assures the hospitals compliance with applicable standards, regulations and laws.

Job Requirements:

• Licensure: Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of FL.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
• Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting is preferred
