Line Cook at Palm House

Palm House Hospitality is a fast-growing bay area hospitality group and we are looking for a Line Cook for Palm House.

We are looking for someone that is motivated, hospitable and fun to work with. You should be comfortable in a high-volume environment for weekend brunch, football games, and our bustling bar scene. Someone who spreads good vibes is a must! :)

Essential Qualifications:

- Cooking experience preferred

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance

- Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.; and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, and boxes.

Required Certifications:

- Food handling certificate/Serv-Safe certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Calificaciones esenciales:

- Se prefiere experiencia en cocina

- Capacidad para resolver problemas prácticos y tratar con una variedad de variables concretas en situaciones donde solo existe una estandarización limitada.

- Capacidad para comunicarse satisfactoriamente en inglés (hablar, leer, escribir) con los huéspedes, compañeros de trabajo y la gerencia a su comprensión

- Capacidad para realizar las tareas asignadas con atención a los detalles, velocidad, precisión, seguimiento, cortesía, cooperación y trabajo con un mínimo de supervisión.

- Puntualidad y asistencia regular y confiable.

- Habilidad para agarrar, doblar y agacharse; empujar o jalar cargas pesadas que pesen hasta 50 libras; y levantar y/o transportar o mover paquetes y cajas.
