Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our Cabinet Production team. In this role, you will operate and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery to produce high-quality cabinets and related components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and precision measurement will ensure efficient manufacturing processes and top-tier product quality. Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC routers to produce cabinet parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards, and manufacturing instructions to ensure accurate fabrication
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards throughout production
- Maintain proper tooling, fixtures, and machine calibration to optimize performance and minimize downtime
- Collaborate with the fabrication team on materials handling, assembly line processes, and packaging to ensure smooth workflow from raw material intake to finished product delivery
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues related to Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or other automation systems
- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery such as press brake machines, stamping presses, welding equipment, or forklift trucks within the manufacturing facility
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming, and CNC operation techniques
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawing interpretation
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks for design review or modifications
- Knowledge of various manufacturing equipment including press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and fabrication tools
- Familiarity with tooling setup, materials handling equipment like forklifts, hand tools, and packaging machinery
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and machine settings
- Solid understanding of quality control procedures using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
- Factory or manufacturing facility experience with a focus on cabinetry or woodworking is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
