VPK Co-Teacher / Afternoon Assistant Director

Palm City Preschool is seeking a caring, organized, and motivated **VPK Co-Teacher/Assistant Director** to join our team. This unique full-time position combines classroom teaching in our VPK program during the morning with administrative and leadership responsibilities in the afternoon.

Position Overview
**Morning: VPK Co-Teacher**
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing the VPK curriculum.
- Support children's learning through hands-on activities and positive guidance.
- Help maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.

**Afternoon: Assistant Director**
- Support the Director with daily school operations.
- Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage.
- Ensure classrooms remain in compliance with Florida DCF licensing standards.
- Help onboard and mentor new staff members.
- Communicate professionally with families and assist with tours and enrollment.
- Maintain children's files and required documentation.
- Help create a positive, team-focused work environment.

Qualifications
**Required:**
- High School Diploma or GED
- Florida DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training/VPK literacy training/CDA preferred
- Level 2 Background Screening
- Previous preschool experience in VPK and Assistant Director knowledge
- Strong organizational and communication skills

**Preferred:**
- CDA, FCCPC, Director's Credential/Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
- VPK classroom experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare setting
- Knowledge of Florida DCF licensing requirements
