Position Overview
The Sales Associate will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager with sales and operational responsibilities. This person will help drive sales performance, ensure smooth daily operations, and deliver excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has strong people skills, a sales-driven mindset, and a willingness to learn the ins and outs of the furniture business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide product knowledge, and close sales.
- Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Contribute to marketing and community outreach efforts as needed.
- Step into the Store Manager’s role when required.
Qualifications
- Previous retail or sales experience preferred (furniture or home goods experience a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Goal-oriented with proven ability to drive sales.
- Organized, dependable, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, email, inventory management).
- Availability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
