Palm Beach Periodontics is a boutique, fee-for-service periodontal and dental implant practice dedicated to providing exceptional clinical care and a five-star patient experience. Our team specializes in advanced periodontal surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting, All-on-X treatment, and IV sedation procedures.
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Sterilization Technician to support our clinical team by maintaining clean, organized, and properly sterilized treatment environments.
This position plays an essential role in ensuring patient safety, efficient operatory turnover, and a smooth daily clinical workflow.

Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and prepare treatment rooms between patients
- Assist with efficient operatory turnover to maintain the clinical schedule
- Collect, transport, clean, package, sterilize, and store dental and surgical instruments
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners and autoclaves
- Follow established OSHA, CDC, and office infection prevention protocols
- Perform and document sterilization monitoring, including biological and chemical indicator testing
- Organize and maintain sterilization areas, instrument cassettes, and surgical supplies
- Prepare instrument setups and surgical trays for upcoming procedures
- Monitor inventory and restock operatories and sterilization supplies
- Properly handle and dispose of contaminated materials and sharps
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical workspaces
- Communicate effectively with dental assistants and doctors to anticipate daily needs
- Assist with additional clinical support duties as needed and within the scope of training
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous experience in dental sterilization or dental assisting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow written infection control and sterilization protocols
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing routine physical tasks
- Familiarity with OSHA and CDC dental infection control guidelines
- Experience handling surgical instruments and instrument cassettes
- Experience in a periodontal, oral surgery, or implant practice
Previous dental experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate who demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
Schedule
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Approximately 16 hours per week, depending on breaks and clinical needs
- In-person position
- Ability to work at our West Palm Beach and Boynton Beach locations as scheduled (Primarily WPB location)
