Part-Time Nurse Practitioner – I.V. Infusions & Medical Weight Management

Location: West Palm Beach, FL 33401Practice: Private Internal Medicine/Primary Care & Cardiology PracticePosition: Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP, APRN, etc.)Schedule: Flexible/Part-Time — Primarily Thursdays, with potential Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Wednesdays; Occasional Fridays and/or Saturday mornings may be available.

About the Practice

We are a growing private medical practice in West Palm Beach, FL providing Internal Medicine/Primary Care and Cardiology services. We are expanding our wellness services to include I.V. infusions, medical weight management/GLP-1 therapies, peptide-based treatments, and other wellness services, with plans to expand into aesthetic services.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused part-time Nurse Practitioner who can help develop and deliver these services while working collaboratively with our physicians and clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits for medical weight management and wellness programs.
• Develop individualized medical weight-management plans based on patient history, clinical assessment, goals, and applicable medical guidelines.
• Evaluate patients for appropriate use of GLP-1 medications and other medically appropriate therapies.
• Prescribe and administer I.V. infusions, including patient assessments, IV access, monitoring, documentation, and management of potential adverse reactions.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, nutrition, lifestyle modification, weight management, and wellness programs.
• Review relevant laboratory results and monitor patients receiving medical weight-management and wellness therapies.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Work with the practice's EHR and assist with the transition from paper to electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with the Cardiologist, Primary Care providers, and other members of the clinical team.
• Potentially provide services to patients in local nursing homes and assisted-living facilities, including Lakeside and other facilities in the area, as mutually agreed.
• Participate in development and implementation of new wellness, I.V. infusions, and future aesthetic services.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner license and eligibility to practice in Florida.
• Strong hands-on experience with I.V. infusions including prescribing, administration, and patient monitoring.
• Experience providing medical weight-management consultations.
• Experience with or demonstrated competency in administering/prescribing GLP-1 therapies and other wellness treatments within applicable Florida laws, regulations, and clinical standards.
• Comfortable performing patient assessments and making appropriate clinical recommendations.
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or other EHR systems.
• Comfortable working during a transition from paper to an electronic medical records.
• Reliable, professional, patient-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with physicians.
• Must live within approximately a 45-minute commute of the West Palm Beach office.
• Availability primarily on Thursdays, with flexibility for Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Wednesdays.
• Willingness to occasionally work Fridays and/or Saturday mornings is a plus but not required.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Existing patient/client relationships or referral sources in the West Palm Beach/Palm Beach County area.
• Experience in Botox, fillers, cosmetic medicine, or aesthetic services.
• Existing aesthetics/Botox patients or clientele that could support the practice's planned aesthetics launch.
• Current DEA registration/license.
• Familiarity with Cardiology and cardiovascular patient management.
• Experience ordering or coordinating cardiac diagnostic testing, such as:
• Echocardiograms/cardiac ultrasound
• Extended Holter monitoring
• Mobile cardiac telemetry
• Stress testing
• PET/CT cardiac imaging
• Other cardiovascular diagnostic studies
• Experience caring for patients in nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, or other post-acute settings.
• Ability and willingness to see patients at Lakeside and other local nursing facilities.

We are particularly interested in candidates who already have experience with I.V. therapies and medical weight management and who can contribute to the growth of these services from the outset.
