Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Valid Florida Driver’s License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.
Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows
Performs basic, entry-level surveying tasks associated with land surveying projects. Utilizes surveying equipment (e.g., hammer, shovel, level, steel chain, cloth tape, range pole, and tripods); cuts survey line of sight with machetes/axes/chain saws; digs and cuts holes; pours concrete monuments. Receives direction from the technical supervisor and works under close supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience setting up safety signs and cones,
- Experience with tripod/tribrach,
- Experience using steel tapes,
- Experience using levels to measure vertical distance,
- Experience locating points with a magnetic locator, and
- Experience with Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) equipment.
