Charges and discharges library materials to the public; registers borrowers; receives payment for Palm Tran Paradise passes and tech devices; resolves inquiries/complaints concerning the circulation of materials; shelves and retrieves library materials. Processes library materials and links them to a computerized database.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of college-level coursework (must specify 60-semester/90-quarter hours),
OR
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of college-level coursework (must specify 30-semester/45-quarter hours) AND one (1) year of experience working in a library,
OR
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a library.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in a library/bookstore/retail environment,
- Experience handling cash,
- Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
