Coordinates the preventive maintenance and repair of Division vehicles and equipment with both Palm Beach County (PBC) Fleet and Risk Management. Keeps accurate maintenance, billing, and asset records, including vehicles, equipment, two-way radios, and transponders, by entering data into a work order maintenance and billing system and creating supporting spreadsheets. Responsible for coordinating and tracking property damage cases, including billing and restitution. Receives, screens, and dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls related to traffic signals and signs. Uses independent judgment and initiative to ensure timely project completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of experience working with various types of vehicles and associated equipment, or scheduling services and issuing work orders,
- Graduation from high school/equivalent; minimum of one (1) year of experience coordinating work schedules, organizing service requests, conducting inventories, or receiving/storing supplies and equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience dispatching to field crews (must specify on application),
- Experience entering service requests in a work order program (must specify on application),
- Experience using MS Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint,
- Experience using Advantage Financial System (must specify on application), and
- Experience coordinating and scheduling meetings (must specify on application).
