THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.

Administrative and public contact work involving the coordination of field/facility invoicing and permitting for Countywide athletic facility programs and/or activities. Performs a wide variety of responsible tasks involving facility and program supervision, including instructing, implementing, supervising, monitoring, working both direct and indirect events and/or programs, and evaluating various games, sports, programs, activities, facilities, and events. Processes registrations, permits, and fees. Acts as a liaison to monitor indirect adult and youth sports providers through phone and email communication, site visits, and events; ensures sports providers comply with permit requirements. Assists with the facilitation of programs/services. Interacts with program participants and volunteers with or without disabilities, including youth, teens, adults, and seniors. Work is performed under the general guidance of the supervisor and is reviewed through reports, on-site visits, and results obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified candidates to possess the following:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification AND experience in organizing and supervising recreation activities: programming for adult and/or youth recreation leagues.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
The selected candidate for this position:
Must obtain First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification within six (6) months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Customer service experience to include providing information and resolving concerns/complaints,
- Experience with reservation/permitting software (RecTrac) (must specify on application),
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook), and
- Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
