Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences with efficiency and professionalism
- Handle restaurant reservation management using popular systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Maintain accurate restaurant table management through effective organization and communication with the team
- Assist with guest services by answering phone inquiries, providing menu information, and managing waitlists with courteous phone etiquette
- Support food safety standards by adhering to proper sanitation and handling procedures during guest interactions
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
- Use POS systems confidently to process orders, payments, and reservations while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest relations
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for clear phone conversations and guest interactions
- Basic math proficiency for handling payments and balancing tables accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
