The Sr. Scientist will be located in Port Washington, NY and will report to the Director, Chemistry. This is an onsite role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $111,000 - $190,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The Sr. Scientist will be located in Port Washington, NY and will report to the Director, Chemistry. This is an onsite role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Lead and execute research and development for strategic projects that impact the microelectronics, food and beverage, energy transition and aerospace filtration and purification platforms.
- Serve as technical voice in conjunction with business unit marketing teams to understand product requirements and drive product specification development technical resource when gathering and evaluating the voice of customer (VOC)
- Identify and execute on the most suitable pathways for research and development of new products, product improvements.
- Initiate TDPs and manage the TDP portfolio within the chemistry, tech-transfer and cleaning teams
- Develop the capability to serve as subject matter expert in filtration and purification technologies and applications
- PhD degree PhD in material science, polymer science or chemistry with experience in polymer synthesis, modifications and functionalization.
- 2 years' experience with industrial filtration technologies
- Demonstrated ability to write and present technical reports.
- Ability to lead in a cross-functional environment
- Membrane Science, Colloidal Science and filtration experience
- Advanced characterization techniques, microscopy, spectroscopy
