The Palisades School District invites applications for the position of long-term substitute Vocal Music Teacher at Palisades Middle School. Position starting the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year through the end of the first semester of the 2026/2027 school year. The successful candidate will be someone who is able to work creatively with students while, at the same time, work collaboratively with colleagues to continue to cultivate student interest. This position requires an organized and self-motivated educator who has interest and expertise in building and directing ensembles. Having the ability to play the piano is preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a willingness to direct plays and musicals.
Interested applicants must have a PA Certification in Music Education K-12. Candidates that are awaiting an official certification to be approved by PDE are encouraged to apply, but must submit a letter from their university/college and a copy of their Praxis scores that demonstrate program completion.
The selected candidate will participate in the Palisades Induction Program (three unpaid days in mid-August, 2026).
