What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner position at Palermo's Pizza?
Downtime - We Want the One Person Who Thinks About Improvement!
Every plant has micro-stops, repeat failures, and downtime everyone has quietly learned to live with. You're not built to live with it. You see a downtime trend and you can't rest until you know why and you've tackled it!
That's the person we're hiring. Not a scheduler. A reliability driver who owns the CMMS, owns the PM program, and has the room to push us from preventive to predictive maintenance, because every line that runs is pizza our customers are counting on.

Focus Areas
- Mine the CMMS data, downtime trends, and failure history for the patterns nobody else has connected.
- Lead root cause analysis and push corrective actions all the way through to done.
- Go after all downtime, not just maintenance downtime, and challenge how maintenance can lift operations.
- Stand up predictive maintenance using machine data, vibration, and thermal monitoring.
- Move the metrics that matter: PM compliance, OEE, MTBF, MTTR.
- Get out from behind the desk and onto the floor, earning the trust of the technicians who know the equipment best and aligning operations and engineering behind the plan.
- Bring 3 to 7 years of maintenance planning, coordination, or reliability experience in manufacturing.
- Know your way around a CMMS/EAM (Aptean, Maximo, TabWare; food or packaging a plus).
- Have a strong mechanical and electrical foundation and a head for data.
- Are technically curious, allergic to inefficiency, and at your best driving change under pressure, even when the day goes sideways.
- Can carry the room, turning what the data says into priorities people actually act on.
- Have a high school diploma plus technical school, or the experience to match.
