What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Technician position at Palatine Animal Hospital?
We are looking for a motivated, energetic, positive candidate that works well with people in a team setting. Duties include animal handling/ restraint, medication dispensing, lab skills (blood draw, in-house lab testing, etc.), sample collection, surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, bandaging, basic phone skills, and client communications. The position also includes a limited number of kennel duties such as walking, feeding, laundry, bathing, and cleaning. Hourly salary is based on experience. Salary can be discussed further during the interview process. Experience is highly recommended, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn can go a long way.
