Position Overview
The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, developing team members, maintaining service and food quality standards, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role. We are seeking someone who is willing to lead from the floor, jump in wherever needed, and be actively involved in the success of the restaurant. Restaurant operations do not always fit into a standard schedule, and we are looking for a leader who understands the responsibility that comes with managing a successful hospitality business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all daily restaurant operations
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and customer satisfaction
- Manage front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop employees
- Create schedules that balance business needs and labor costs
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and service
- Monitor inventory, ordering, food costs, and operational expenses
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Utilize restaurant technology and POS systems for reporting and operational management
- Address guest concerns professionally and promptly
- Coach employees and develop future leaders within the organization
- Work closely with ownership to improve systems, processes, and overall performance
- Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience preferred
- Proven success leading high-volume restaurant operations
- Strong knowledge of food service, kitchen operations, and hospitality management
- Experience with scheduling, inventory control, labor management, and budgeting
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant technology
- A strong work ethic and willingness to lead by example
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other times as business needs require
