WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are currently looking for a part-time Server to join our front of house team at Palace Pub is St. Paul, MN. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, focused, and can work quickly and efficiently in a fun and fast-paced team environment.

ABOUT THE FRONT OF HOUSE TEAM

Our talented staff works cooperatively to ensure the day-to-day operations run as smoothly as possible to create excellent customer experiences and to increase repeat customer business. The front of house team's goal is to accurately, efficiently, and safely present and deliver high-quality food and beverages to our customers in accordance with food safety regulations.

POSITION SUMMARY & TRAINING STRUCTURE

The Server reports directly to the Front of House Manager. As a part of our front of house team, Servers are responsible for ensuring that front of house operations run as smoothly as possible. They must follow proper food handling guidelines, cleaning procedures, and safety practices. This position will primarily work at the Palace Pub in St. Paul and be scheduled as needed to support the operational and staffing needs of the restaurant. Servers will work and train alongside the Front of House Manager and front of house staff. Key responsibilities and duties are outlined below.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Presents and delivers quality food and beverages to guests
• Assist with the creation and delivery of excellent guest service
• Responsible for maintaining a high level of organization and preparedness
• Maintain a quality positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to help all guests with their needs in regards to service
• Listens to guests to accurately and efficiently take food and beverage orders
• Submits accurate food and beverage orders through the POS system

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to quickly access all areas of the front of house and designated areas in the back of house to respond to issues
• Ability to quickly move between the inside and outside of the restaurant, garage, and the rest of the building, as needed
• Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to move products from outside receiving area to designated area inside restaurant
• Ability to place items onto shelves at various heights
• Ability to quickly walk up and down stairs and ramps
• Ability to climb up and down ladders as necessary
• Ability to quickly bend, lift, reach, grab, pull, push, and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds
• Ability to use touch-screen devices and point-of-sale screens, service printer, and mobile devices

QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a Server or Bartender or a relevant position in the restaurant or hospitality industry with their valid high-school diploma or GED
• Excellent communication skills
• Must demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality
• Must be able to take initiative, work independently, and be self-motivated to produce quality work
• Must be highly organized and detailed-oriented

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Servers must be willing and able to work flexible hours and a rotating weekly schedule for a 7-day week operation, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with regular attendance necessary.
• Must work a schedule that aligns to the business, operational, and customer needs
• Must be available to work nights and weekends for closing shifts
• Must be 18 years of age or older for this role
• Must be currently eligible and possess authorization to work in the United States of America
• Must not require sponsorship by our company for work visas
• Must have reliable transportation
