Pal Pro Fleet Services is hiring an experienced Shop Foreman / Master Diesel Technician for an immediate opening, stepping directly into a role overseeing our shop. We are looking for a highly skilled technician with strong heavy duty truck and equipment repair experience, proper tools, advanced diagnostic ability, and hands-on experience with OEM software such as DiagnosticLink and Cummins INSITE, who is also ready to lead and manage a shop and its technicians.
This is not an entry-level role. We are specifically looking for someone who can start immediately and make an impact from day one.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel trucks, fleet vehicles, and machinery in the shop
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, drivability, hydraulic, brake, suspension, engine, and aftertreatment systems
- Use OEM software and professional scan tools to perform accurate diagnostics
- Complete repairs efficiently and correctly with minimal supervision
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly
- Maintain a professional, safe, and organized shop environment
Foreman Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop workflow, scheduling, and job assignments for other technicians
- Review and sign off on completed repairs for quality control
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical questions and escalations in the shop
- Supervise, train, and mentor technicians, including onboarding new hires
- Help manage parts ordering, inventory, and tool/equipment needs
- Communicate directly with ownership on shop performance, priorities, and staffing needs
- Help build and enforce shop standards, processes, and safety practices
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an A-Level Diesel Technician, Master Technician, or equivalent high-level mechanic
- Strong background in heavy duty truck repair
- Experience with heavy machinery, medium duty diesel, and related diesel equipment repair preferred
- Must own a complete set of professional tools
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE, and other OEM diagnostic software
- Ability to work independently in a shop environment
- Valid driver's license
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
- Prior experience as a shop foreman, lead technician, or supervisor
- Available to start immediately
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certifications, OEM certifications, or other industry credentials
- CDL is a plus
- Experience managing shop scheduling, workflow, or parts/inventory is a plus
