What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Expeditor (Expo) position at Paisans Pizzeria?
Job Summary:
Paisans is looking for fast-paced, upbeat, and detail-oriented individuals to be our Expeditors (Expo). As an Expeditor, you have an important role in the restaurant! You will be expected to have top notch communication skills, ensure the food is made efficiently and looks presentable before being brought to the table, and more!
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reading orders and assisting in preparation of food.
- Preparing plate presentations.
- Ensuring food product is created in a consistent manner and within the applicable timeframe.
- Washing, trimming, cutting, and preparing foods for cooking.
- Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Measuring ingredients as required for specific food items being prepared.
- Preparing and serving beverages such as coffee and fountain drinks.
- Verifying that prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
- Serving orders to customers at counters and/or tables, if needed.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years Quick Service or Fast Food experience is preferred.
- 1-2 years food preparation experience preferred.
- 1 year restaurant and cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to handle stress under pressure and in fast-paced situations.
- Work well with others and collaborate as a member of a team.
- Basic math and calculation skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation rules.
- Current food handling certifications as required by state and local laws.
