What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter Helper position at Painters?
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable skilled Painter w/ general home maintenance skills to paint residential/commercial painting projects!
*Some projects, worker will work solo, other ones will have addional employee with you ~ depending on scale of project.
Prepping surfaces, applying paint, and performing various maintenance (drywall, occasional woodwork replacement (bad boards on deck, replacing facia boards, etc) & keeping job site clean.
Occasional pressure washing on projects that are getting the exterior painted.
Responsibilities:
Pick up paint & equipment to take to job site & apply paint to client's house.
(Basically) We will do consultations, marketing & book the projects then provide you with a clear list of work to be done for that client.
We will provide all necessary materials for you & equipment (free to bring your own or bring whatever you want, & we'll have extra & backups for you to use as well) ~for ALL projects.
Requirements
- Comfortable with moving/climbing ladders
- Prior experience with spraying handheld sprayers &/or spray machines at residential &/or commercial painting is necessary
- Knowledge of basic home repairs
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders
- * Experience with caulking, trim repairs, plastering/mudding, painting professionally, applying epoxy to cement, occasional light fixture installation (light fixtures &/or ceiling fans or light switches etc) *
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team in various environments
- Valid driver's license & reliable transportation & punctuality is 100% required
- Smoke breaks & lunch is allowed but are unpaid
- Must look presentable & be cleancut
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Experience:
- Painting or drywall/Painting : 2 years (Required)
- Drywall/or Cut-ins & 18" Rollers for Painting: 2 years (Required)

- Drivers license (Preferred)
