Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team.
Painters Alley is the local Benjamin Moore paint dealer.
We are looking to add a part time employee to help in our Marysville,& Smokey Point stores. You would be a Floating Sales Associate, covering shifts between the stores and filling in on lunch coverage, sick or vacation days for other store associates.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with recommendations on customers needs and help with color selections, check in and put away all freight orders that come in, mixing orders for customers, deliver orders to customers, keeping the store clean, answering phones, and working front counters. You will play a key role in driving sales and promoting and upselling our products while maintaining a well-organized retail environment.
Job requirements are: Must be able to lift minimum of 60 lbs. Have a valid drivers license, must be able to work front counter, multitask, and be customer service oriented.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in a friendly manner.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
- Handle cash and perform cash handling duties accurately.
- Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising products to enhance visibility.
- Assist customers choosing colors and products based on our clients needs and project.
- Upsell products to increase sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with stock management.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with customers.
- Ability to upsell products through effective communication techniques.
- Experience in merchandising and stocking.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
