Duties
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, ensuring all tables, linens, and serviceware are perfectly arranged.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, including wine, cocktails, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Assist with food handling and food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during events.
- Buss tables efficiently by clearing plates, glassware, and utensils to maintain a clean and organized dining environment.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for beverage sales or additional orders while managing cash or credit transactions responsibly.
- Uphold food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality environment is highly preferred, especially with banquet or catering experience.
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food service operations, including serving techniques and beverage service.
- Familiarity with wine knowledge, food safety protocols, and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems and food handling procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy trays or boxes, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; culinary or coffee experience is beneficial but not required.
