Summer Camp Counselor Application
PCCA is dedicated to promoting the arts and artistic excellence through a range of cultural programs including exhibitions, studio art classes, outreach programs, community involvement projects, and the Art & Apples Festival®. Our summer camp allows 5-13 year olds to express themselves through art, create the works that live in their heads, and a chance to have fun surrounded by people who have a similar passion for art.
Position: Summer Camp Counselor (40 hours/ week)
Salary: $14/ hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with children
- Teaching experience preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- General Interest in Art
Counselor Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned
- Ensure camper safety by setting boundaries and monitoring students
- Escort campers between classrooms and to and from the park
- Conduct summer camp games and participate in them
- Help run weekly special events
- Assist campers as they explore a variety of arts
- Maintain classroom cleanliness
- Interact and encourage the children in activities during the day
- Help campers control behavior using a positive approach
- Maintain a cooperative and supportive attitude within camp
- Reporting to Summer camp Supervisor and/or Art Education Manager
