We are currently seeking a courteous, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Billing Clerk to become a valuable member of our collaborative and patient-focused healthcare team. If you're looking to thrive in a fast-paced environment where your contribution truly matters, this opportunity is for you.
Primary Duties:
- Greet and assist all patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism in person who has strong interpersonal skills are essential. Handle low volume of calls.
- work closely with billing department for medical billing tasks and managing patient health records.
- Maintain and update patient profiles, verify insurance, address billing inquiries, and assist with account collections under protocal.
- Schedule appointments and provide guidance to patients on using the clinic’s patient portal.
- Organize and manage electronic files, including scanning and digital document handling.
- Able to learn and answer clinic policies, appointments, and services, and professionally handle any concerns or complaints.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care experiences.
Position Requirements:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Proficient typing skills (minimum 40 WPM).
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Relevant work experience required; familiarity with billing or coding is a plus.
- 12 months medical front desk experience or more.
- Dependable transportation and flexibility to work Monday through Friday.
- Must be able to commute and work independently at both our Biloxi and Pascagoula locations.
- Adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols is essential.
