Location: Paine Art Center and Gardens, Oshkosh, WI
Event Dates: November 20, 2026 - January 4, 2027
Schedule: Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available. Shifts and hours vary by week and position.
Status: Part-time, seasonal
About the Event:
Join us for Nutcracker in the Castle, a magical holiday experience that brings the story of the Nutcracker to life throughout The Paine mansion.
We’re looking for friendly, reliable individuals to join our team during this special event!
Clara
The Clara role is for a female applicant between 16–20 years old.
Clara helps guide guests through the mansion and keep the tour moving smoothly. Halfway through the shift, Claras switch roles between “Awake Clara” and “Sleeping Clara.”
Responsibilities:
- Help guide guests through the mansion and open doors at the appropriate times
- Provide cues to help the tour flow smoothly
- Welcome and assist guests throughout the experience
- Portray “Sleeping Clara” while resting in Clara’s bedroom with the Nutcracker
- Help reset the bedroom and return costumes and other items at the end of the evening
Cupcake Café Staff
Responsibilities:
- Sell, prepare, and serve cupcakes and beverages inside the café
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café
- Provide friendly service and maintain food safety standards
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings and weekends throughout the event run
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Retail or food service experience is a plus, but not required for Cupcake Café role
